The story of a photographer

Hi there!

I'm thrilled to welcome you to my corner of the web. I'm the women behind Catherine Linde Photo, and I've been immersed in the enchanting world of photography for over a decade now.

My journey with photography began in the picturesque landscapes of the Cape Winelands in South Africa. As a small-town girl with a big passion for capturing life's beautiful moments, I honed my skills photographing weddings, relationships, and people, finding inspiration in the natural beauty and rich culture surrounding me.

Life took an exciting turn when I ventured across the globe to Ireland with my wonderful husband. Now, nestled in the heart of this captivating country, we're raising our precious girl, Rosemary, amidst the rolling green hills and charming villages.

Through my lens, I strive to weave stories that celebrate love, connection, and the essence of life itself. Every click captures a moment in time, preserving memories that will be cherished for generations to come.

Whether it's the gentle embrace of a newlywed couple, the laughter shared between family members, or the innocence reflected in a child's eyes, I believe in capturing the beauty of life in its purest form.

Join me on this journey as we explore the magic of storytelling through photography. Together, let's create timeless memories that resonate with warmth, joy, and the essence of what it means to truly live.

Thank you for stopping by, and I can't wait to connect with you soon!

FAQ

What’s the typical timeline for receiving the photos after the wedding?

After the wedding, the time to receive your photos usually ranges from 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the photographer’s workload and editing process. They strive to deliver a carefully curated collection that captures the essence of your special day.

Can we request specific shots or poses for our wedding photos?

Absolutely! Most photographers encourage you to share your ideas and must-have shots. They’ll work closely with you to ensure your vision is realized. However, flexibility is key as some moments may unfold naturally.

Do we get all the photos, and can we print them ourselves?

Generally, you’ll receive a selection of the best images (around 400-800) in high resolution. These images are professionally edited and provided for you to print and share as you wish. Some photographers may offer printing services or albums for an additional fee.

What happens if it rains or the weather is unfavorable on the wedding day?

Experienced photographers are skilled in adapting to various conditions. They’ll work with you to find alternative photo locations or utilize indoor spaces to capture beautiful shots. Some also have equipment to handle adverse weather conditions.

Do you give out the RAW ( unedited ) photos?

The editing and post-production phase is integral to my artistic process. It's not just about taking the shots—it's about crafting them into the final masterpiece. Sharing unedited raw files would be asking a chef to hand out raw ingredients to diners. No one desires uncooked food. Rest assured, We'll provide all the photos you desire, and if there's anything you feel I've overlooked, simply let me know. Building trust is paramount in our collaboration. If you entrust me to work my magic, please refrain from requesting raw files.

Will there be a backup plan if the photographer falls ill or faces an emergency on the wedding day?

Reputable photographers often have a network or arrangement with other professionals to cover emergencies. They’ll inform you in advance and ensure someone equally skilled is available in such situations.

What’s the difference between a second photographer and additional hours of coverage?

A second photographer offers more angles and coverage, ensuring no moment is missed. Additional hours of coverage mean the primary photographer stays longer to capture more moments, speeches, or late-night celebrations. Both enhance the overall coverage but serve different purposes.
